City of Zephyrhills Sidewalk Construction Project

The City of Zephyrhills' contractor (BRW Contracting Inc.) has recently begun a sidewalk construction project spanning approximately 10,500 linear feet in areas surrounding West Zephyrhills Elementary School.

This encompasses:
• 9th Avenue from 1st Street to 6th Street
• 10th Avenue from 1st Street to 6th Street
• 11th Avenue from 1st Street to 6th Street
• 13th Avenue from 1st Street to 6th Street
• 14th Avenue from 37733 14th Avenue to 6th Street
• 15th Avenue from 37742 15th Avenue to 14th Avenue
• 3rd Street from 9th Avenue to 10th Avenue
• 5th Street from 9th Avenue to 14th Avenue
• 6th Street from 9th Avenue to 16th Street

These are city right-of-ways without sidewalks on either side of the roadway within a quarter-mile of the school.

Survey stakes are being placed in these areas to mark property lines.

Date of completion of all work is to be no later than June 19, 2024.

During this time, there will be construction-related noise and some minor traffic disruption with temporary lane/right-of-way closures anticipated.

During construction, there may be times when driveway access will be impacted. The contractor will endeavor to work with residents to provide as much advance notice as possible in these circumstances.

This project will build new sidewalks and widen existing sidewalks in the city, improving safety for pedestrians, including children who walk to school from their neighborhood.
