The Building Department issues residential and commercial permits to the property owners and business owners of the City of Zephyrhills.
The City Clerk’s Office maintains, records and preserves all official documents and proceedings of the City Council and serves as the Records Management Liaison Officer to the state of Florida archives; maintaining, storing, and disposing of the City’s public records in accordance with Florida Statutes. The City Clerk administers oaths; is the custodian of the City seal and authenticates by signature and records all official legislative actions of City Council, and countersigns all contracts made on behalf of the City.
Code Enforcement enforces land and property codes in an effort to eliminate conditions that threaten the life, health, safety, and general welfare of residents. The department investigates complaints about possible violations.
Community Redevelopment Agency
The goals of the Community Redevelopment Agency are focused on land use, economic development, transportation, neighborhoods and cultural resources in the City of Zephyrhills.
It is the mission of the Finance Department to account for all transactions of the City using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, to develop, prepare, coordinate, and deliver the annual operating budget, to prepare the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, schedule the annual audit, to oversee procurement functions, to maintain debt compliance, to maintain fiscal responsibility, and to provide quality information in a timely manner, while maintaining the highest level of ethical professional standards.
Human Resources (HR) administers work in all aspects of HR including but not limited to employee benefits, drug free workplace, employee processing, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), union negotiations, online employee training, and ensuring equitable standards for all employees.
