JOB OPPORTUNITY BULLETIN

 

POSITION TITLE:              Patrol Officer

                                               Four (4) Positions

 

JOB LOCATION:                Police Department

                                               City of Zephyrhills

 

SALARY RANGE:               $35,485 - $53,227 Annual

                                               Pay Grade 35

 

FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT STATUS:  Applicable

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Florida Law Enforcement Certified preferred, will also consider out-of-state law enforcement certified and requiring an Equivalency Certificate from the State of Florida, Corrections Certified and requiring a Crossover Corrections to Law Enforcement Certification.  Applicant must be able to meet the requirements for certification as outlined in Florida State Statute 943.13.  This may be viewed at www.flsenate.gov/statutes.  Must have the ability to maintain and submit accurate reports.  Must have the ability to get along well with others and be of a temperament which enables them to handle emergency situations without excitement or panic.  Must be trustworthy, dependable, honest and able to maintain confidentiality at all times.  Applicant must be able to work all shifts and in good physical condition.

 

BRIEF DESCRIPTIONS OF DUTIES:  Performs general duty police work in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances.  Routine patrol work in an assigned area, preliminary investigation and miscellaneous duties incidental thereto performed in accordance with departmental rules and regulations.  Exercise initiative and discretion when faced with emergency conditions.

POSITION TITLE:             WWTP Operator C

 

JOB LOCATION:                Utilities Department

                                                City of Zephyrhills

 

SALARY RANGE:                $14.04 hr/$29,203 Annually

                                                Pay Grade 31

 

FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT STATUS:  Applicable

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High School Diploma or GED.  Must have a current valid Florida driver¡¯s license.  Must pass background check, drug test, and physical examination, including back examination.  Must have a State of Florida, Department of Environmental Protection Class ¡°C¡± Wastewater Operator¡¯s license.

 

BRIEF DESCRIPTIONS OF DUTIES:  Performs operation and maintenance of various types of power driven pumps, bar screens, air compressors, sludge press, and other wastewater treatment plant related equipment.   Collects samples and assists in the performance of all appropriate and required laboratory tests.  Performs maintenance duties including cleaning and keeping the plant in a neat and orderly condition.  Keeps basic records as deemed necessary by management and in accordance with Florida Administrative Codes.  Performs law maintenance duties and uses equipment such as tractors, riding lawn mowers, weed-eaters,  bush-hogs, etc.  Performs housekeeping, pressure washing and painting duties.
