Q. How do I report a traffic signal or school crossing light not working properly?

A. All traffic signals and school zone crossing lights are maintained by Pasco County, please contact Pasco County Traffic Operations at 727.847.8139.

Q. How do I report a streetlight on city right of way not working properly?

Q. Who do I call after normal working hours for emergency situations (i.e. trees fallen across roads, washouts, street flooding etc.)?

A. Please contact the Zephyrhills Police Department at 813.780.0050, the police dispatcher will then contact our on-call staff, we have staff on call 24/7 365 days a year.

Q. What days are my garbage or recyclables picked up?

Q. How do I start my garbage collection service?

A. Please call the Customer Care Center 1-844-739-4959 (must be a city resident).

Q. How can I safely dispose of household hazardous materials (i.e. paint, batteries, electronic items, TV's, used motor oil etc.).

A. Please contact the Pasco County East Pasco Transfer Station located at 9626 Handcart Road Dade City , FL 33525 T:352.521.0500 for additional information.

Q. How do I request tree trimming or tree removal in front of my house?

A. Call the Public Works Department at 813.780.0022 or submit a request for service request using this link: http://www.ci.zephyrhills.fl.us/PW_Servicerequest.aspx Staff will make a site visit to inspect the tree for maintenacnce or removal. Tree removal must be requested by the property owner and meet the City's criteria for removal and be approved by the Public Works Director.

Q. Does the city install "Children at Play" signs?

A. No, these signs create a false sense of security for parents and children. Motorists pay little attention to the signs, especially motorists that travel the street frequently. The use of these signs has long been abandoned as these signs suggest that playing in the street is acceptable behavior.

Q. Does the city install speed bumps on public streets?

A. No, speed bumps are servere physical traffic control devices, they can be up to 6" high, up to 2' wide and stretch across the entire roadway. Due to their abrupt rise and required low speed, they can be hazardous to motorists and bicyclists alike.

Q. Do I need a permit for driveway construction or improvements?
