U.S. 301 Land Use Vision & Transportation Strategy

The Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), in conjunction with the cities of Zephyrhills and Dade City, Pasco County Planning and Development, and the East Pasco community, has prepared a land use vision and transportation strategy for the U.S. 301 corridor from Kossik Road (northern Zephyrhills) to the U.S. 98 Bypass (southern Dade City).

Project Timeline

Planning for the vision and strategy began in mid 2014. Three community workshops were held in March, June, and November 2015. The U.S. 301 Corridor Land Use Vision and Transportation Strategy was accepted by all participating government entities in early 2016.

The City of Zephyrhills' next step is use the vision and strategy to guide the development of comprehensive plan policies and land development regulations specific to the corridor. The comprehensive plan update is underway (see Zephyrhills 2030).

To encourage vision-based future development in the corridor's unincorporated areas, the City will coordinate their work with Pasco County Planning and Development.
